Job duties: Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. (“S&P”) seeks Assistant Project Manager to be responsible for project planning and mobilization. Assist in the preparation of the CPM baseline, monthly CPM schedule updates and narratives, and CPM fragments with changes and delays. Assist in timely and accurate Subcontractor Purchasing including the use of S&P bonding policy. Process submittals to achieve the project schedule and conformance with contract documents. Expedite material deliveries of subcontractors and vendors. Manage the RFI Process and ensure drawings are posted and up to date. Chair with the assistance of the Project Superintendent and Project Manager in subcontractor preconstruction meetings. Safety Planning and Performance: Participate in the SOS Program for Safety Planning and Performance. Assist with management of the S&P Quality Control Program. Assist in cost reporting including weekly and monthly review of job cost reports and preparation of monthly analysis. Carefully analyze cost AND schedule problems and initiate new alternatives, which will cause a course correction. Prepare material for the Third Point Review. to achieve margin goal agreed to at Third Point. Establish and maintain effective relationship with customers. Assist in preparing and submitting monthly draw requests consistent with the contract documents while achieving project revenue forecasts. Assist in processing and approving the monthly sub/vendor invoices in both a timely and accurate fashion. Ensure strict control of subcontractor's Schedule of Values and Supplier Forms to ensure that subcontractors/vendors do not get ahead on payments. Assist in the Change Management Process for both prime and subcontractor. Close out projects in compliance with contract documents. Assist with implementation of project management systems as outlined in the Operations and Procedures Manual. Some travel required. Travel once a month within Houston and to Dallas or Austin. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture or a related field plus 3 years of experience. Requires experience in BIM and S&P Design Assist program.
